After our day in Cozumel, it was time to weigh anchor once more and head north, and towards home.
The sky was full of convective thundershowers and ragged clouds this evening as we sailed out of Cozumel's waters, and we took the opportunity to stand underneath the ship's grand array of radar and antennae and take some shots. I think this is one reason why I fell in love so much with cruising and seafaring. Previously my only international form of travel had been on airplanes - and I find them to be cold, mysterious and unforgiving. Here - on these great ships - it is all so hands-on and friendly. You can literally go hang out underneath the ship's technological heart at the bow of the ship. You can feel the wind on your face and the engines under your feet, you can smell the ocean, you can feel the vessel.
This image is so small becuase unfortunately - during my underwater photography endeavors - I had mashed the touchscreen of my camera too randomly through the protective PVC housing and inadvertently set it to take small images, as opposed to fine or large images. Ah well - such is the underwater photographer's lot I guess! I may post one or two more from our cruise series - but not very many as they will all be this size or smaller.
I sincerely hope you have enjoyed my and my husband's cruise series of photographs - and I am thoroughly looking forward to returning to posting other subject matter within the next few days!
I only post images as and when I can - it may be once a week, or once a year. Just check back occasionally and maybe I'll have something new!
